The Frieden Agency was founded in 1928 by the late Jack Leterman. Since then, the agency has been continuously operated by family members who, like our founder, have an un-wavering commitment to serving our clients, our brokers and the Hampton Roads community.

Ronald F. Spindel joined The Frieden Agency in 1975 and has become an integral part of the agency serving over 80 employee benefits plans.  He has not only earned the respect of his clients but his industry associates as well. He was named Underwriter of the Year in 1999 and currently serves as the President of the Hampton Roads Youth Center.
